From Bongten, we headed for Berthang in Sikkim. We brought a suitcase with our sleeping bags, but decided to store it in a nearby town because we had to hike for about an hour or so. I was trying to be like a Nepali and wore my sandals….it was a mistake! (Only western “m”s wear hiking boots with the traditional attire!) Next time, I’m just going to go western and then change when I get to the location. I gave my first sermon in Nepali (with no forewarning, yikes!) and it was pretty horrible (but it could have been worse), but I figured God can speak through His word, even if my Nepali was bad!

Just Wear the Boots!
